- Conducting physical and psychological assessments of Children and developing or following a treatment plan.
- Facilitates development and rehabilitation of Children with mental, emotional, and physical disabilities by planning and administering medically prescribed occupational therapy.
- Advising on adaptive equipment to help children with daily activities.
- Developing physical rehabilitation programs to help children regain lost skills.
- Educating family members of children on childcare.
- Evaluating results and progress of occupational therapy on children.
- Maintaining professional knowledge and the technical progress to provide children with the best treatment program available.
- Promotes maximum independence by selecting and constructing therapies according to individuals physical capacity, intelligence level, and interest.
- Evaluates results of occupational therapy by observing, noting, and evaluating children progress and recommending and implementing adjustments and modifications.
